Introductory and advanced courses of the Tea Culture House curriculum.
The Introduction curriculum
(9 theoretical and 4 practical lessons = 13 lessons, 1.5 hour)
The advanced curriculum includes preparation
of tea using an authentic method practiced by Lu Yu and some
other secrets. As well as more detailed practical skills and creative workshops
(7 lessons, 2 hour)
Basic course:
- Ideas and principles of tea education.
Practical part: preparation of green tea by traditional way in
small teapot (the demonstration).
- Camellia Sinensis.
Climate.
Sorts of tea tree.
Respect of the ritual of tea preparation.
Practical part: preparation of green tea by traditional way in gai-van
(the demonstration with comments).
- Fermentation.
Categorizations:
by grades of fermentation
by types of tea trees
by type of tea leaf
by a season a collection
by a regions of fabrication
by fragrant additives.
Practical part: Gun Fu Cha, traditional Chinese tea ceremony.
Oolong tea. (Demonstration).
- Tearoom and utensils
Practical part:
traditional way of preparation of white tea in small teapot (learning)
- Technology and production of
white, green, yellow, blue-green, red and black teas.
Not fermented, half fermented and fermented tea.
Compressed tea.
Practical part: traditional way of preparation of red tea in the gai-van
(learning)
- Collection Chinese tea with examples.
Emperor teas.
Practical part: preparation of black tea. (Discussing a
miscellaneous ways and particularities of preparation of tea. Making tea
for a group).
- History of development tea culture.
Spreading of tea.
Different ways of preparation of tea in other countries.
Practical part: What is a Gun Fu Cha? Oolong tea.
(Learning).
- Technology of the tea ritual.
The chinese system of five elements in the context of the tea ceremony.
The Art of Tea and the Way of Tea.
Practical part: preparation of oolong tea (learning).
- Most ancient way of preparation of tea.
Use elements in different sorts of tea.
