Presentations of rare Chinese Tea's
and the Chinese Tea Ceremony
Since China is one of the earliest tea producers in the world,
tea-drinking has a long tradition and is an integral part of the culture of the Chinese people.
The Amsterdam Chinese Tea Festival 2006 from March 5 through 19, 2006
was in the Hortus Botanicus, a scenic botanical garden in the center of Amsterdam,
Wijs & Zonen in the Warmoesstraat, the street where the first tea arrived in Europe,
the Women in Paradise manifestation in Paradiso, Amsterdam and INPROC at the Denneweg in The Hague.
Organized by the city's Tea Culture House,
the 7-day event featured tea ceremonies, performances and lectures
about Chinese tea customs and traditions.
We thank all our visitors, our dedicated staff and not at least our sponsors,
very much for again making this festival into a great event.
We hope to greet you all again next year in March 2007
at the Amsterdam Chinese Tea Festival 2007!
